I always get asked “so what can I do to increase my sales on eBay?” It’s a hard question to answer because there isn’t really an answer which will make you see a dramatic increase in sales overnight. There are however a lot of little tips and tricks you could consider trying to make eBay like your products more and rate you higher which in turn will increase your sales.
Read on below to see a few of my suggested tips and maybe leave me a comment if you have any good tips or if you want to let me know how you went.
1. Utilize the product title, use as many primary keywords as you can but don’t spam the title with unrelated keywords. The aim is to make the product stand out and catch the attention of potential buyers whether they are directly or indirectly looking for your product
2. Always use large images, minimum size should be no smaller than 500 pixels in width, the reasoning behind that is you don’t want your customers to be squinting at a small pixelated picture trying to figure out exactly what it is you’re selling; eBay also likes big pictures.
3. This one’s an obvious one – invest in a Professionally Designed eBay Listing Template. There is an endless amount of reasons why you should be investing in a professionally designed eBay store, the most important ones being increase of buyer confidence and increasing sales. Yes it is an investment but it is one that I guarantee you will see a quick return in.
4. A Professionally Designed eBay Store compliments the listing template and is crucial in securing repeated customers and up selling to promote your other products and show that you mean business.
5. Always offer free shipping if you can because eBay likes to know that you are looking after their customers. Understandably it is not always feasible to offer free shipping so try to keep it lower rather than higher and try not to make extra money from over charging on shipping.
6. Always offer a full money back guarantee (refund) if possible because again, eBay likes to see their customers being taken care of. Again, it’s not always possible or feasible but at least try to offer an exchange or some sort of mediation if the customer is unhappy with their purchase. Avoid writing things like “Strictly no exchange or refund” on your eBay site as it will drag your rankings down.
7. Consider incorporating an image into your listing template, so the area where the description is, you can easily add images there to make your products more outstanding and noticeable. You can request that as part of your listing template design.
8. Lastly, always try to write a thorough, detailed and clear product description for your items because a serious buyer will want to know everything they can about your products so please avoid spelling mistakes and omitting important information because you think customers won’t need to know or can just contact you to ask. Chances are they will just go buy from someone else.
9. Have a Logo! Your logo is your branding, just like every bricks and mortar store needs a sign at the front; your eBay store needs to have a logo. Even if you’re going to make a simple
